Matsuyama Station is the station that represents Matsuyama City. The station building was renovated with a retro look in 2000. A triangle roof modeled after the original station building and old Matsuyama Junior High School decorates the central entrance at the front. Uchikoza

This kabuki theatre was founded in 1916. Uchikoza Bunraku performances are still held today. Tours are held inside on days when there are no performances.

Hijikawa & Ozu Castle

Ozu Castle was built in the late Kamakura period, and the keep tower was restored in 2004. The scenery of the pristine Hiji River and the castle is spectacular.

Nijinomori Park Matsuno & Morinokuni Poppo Onsen

Shimanto River yakatabune & traditional fishing

The last clear stream of Japan, the Shimanto River is 196 kilometers long, the longest in Shikoku. Cruises on houseboats and pleasure boats are a popular way to enjoy the fascinating river. There are also programs that allow you to taste fish from the river and see traditional river fish like Korobashi and Shibazuke up close fishing by torch or casting a net.

Kochi Castle
