Tokushima Station

Tokushima Station is the station that represents Tokushima City, and both the current station building and the connected building (Clement Plaza) were opened in 1993. Clement Plaza has one underground level and six above ground floors with around 80 shops including apparel stores and restaurants. Hotel Clement Tokushima, the city hotel directly connected to the station, has around 250 guest rooms.
Shinmachigawa Boardwalk

This road extends along the Shinmachi River. On the last Sunday of every month, Tokushima Marche is held offering agricultural products and processed goods.

Wakimachi Udatsu no Machinami

There are many old houses along this roughly 430-meter road running east to west. We also recommend hiring a tour guide.

Kominka Stay

This 300-year old thatched roof private house/cottage in the back regions of Iya, which is also called "Japanese Tibet," was produced by Alex Kerr, who is known for the book Last Glimpse of Beautiful Japan.

Iya no Kazurabashi

Interwoven with Hardy Kiwi, this suspension bridge is one of the three most unusual bridges of Japan. Suspended 14 meters above the river, it provides a thrilling experience.

Shikido

This is a reproduction of the house that haiku poet Shiki Masaoka lived in until the age of seventeen. On exhibit are articles that Shiki used like a desk, calligraphy, personal items, and photographs.

Bansuiso

Built by Count Sadakoto Hisamatsu in 1922. A pure French building, it has been designated an important national cultural property.

Mitsu no Machinami

Shiki Memorial Museum

Ishiteji

The 51st pilgrimage site of the 88 shrines in Shikoku. Also visit the Deva Gate, which is a national treasure, and the Treasure Hall, which exhibits temple treasures.

Dogo Haikara Dori, Nikitatsu no Michi, & Seki Art Gallery

Dogo Haikara Dori is an L-shaped road that connects Dogo Onsen Station and the Dogo Onsen Main Building. Souvenir shops that sell traditional Ehime crafts and famous confectionery line the arcade. The Seki Art Gallery on the atmospheric Nikitatsu no Michi has works of art by artists representative of modern Japan like Taikan Yokoyama and Ryohei Koiso, so be sure to stop by.
